This project has been made using the following materials:-Butterfly Stamp, pink pearlescent card, gold ink pad, gold embossing powder, Art Institute Glitter - Butterfly and Nirvana shades, Art Institute Glue - Clear, Heat Gun and Scissors.
First, I would sprinkle a little bit of talc onto the card and rub over with a piece of kitchen towel, this takes off any oils etc. that has been on your fingers and then transferred on the card as you have been handling it. Imogens Free tip
Then, ink the stamp up and press firmly onto the card making sure not to rock the stamp by keeping one hand on at all times.
Sprinkle the embossing powder over the image, tap off any excess and return it to the pot (it might blow away when you're using your heat gun if you don't) Free Tip, Hold the heat gun about 2 inch above embossing powder.
Once the powder has started to melt, follow it round the image taking care not to over heat the powder or it will melt into the card, and, although you could possibly still use the image you will not get the same lovely embossed effect.
Cut round the outside of the image leaving a little tab for you to use as a handle for you to hold onto when you're decorating your butterfly.
Now for the glitzy part, use the darker colour of the glitters first. Using the glue is very easy as the image has "tram lines" that you can follow. It is best to glue/glitter just a small amount of the image at any one time because as the glue dries it tends to shrink in away from the sides of the "tram lines"
Leave the image for about 15/20 minutes between each glitter colour, just to make sure you don't contaminate each colour.
And then you have your beautiful butterfly.
